Terms of service
Last updated 31 July 2026
These terms govern your use of OpenKol. The two clauses worth reading properly are what a score is and is not and not financial advice. Everything this service produces describes what already happened, never what will.
What the service is
OpenKol analyses publicly available social posts and public market data, and returns a set of measurements about what happened after a given post. We provide the analysis, storage of your results, and — on paid plans — comparison against our wider corpus.
We do not provide, endorse, or facilitate any transaction in any asset. We are not a broker, exchange, custodian, or intermediary of any kind.
Accounts and fair use
You may use the free tier without an account, subject to rate limits. A paid plan requires an account, and you are responsible for keeping its credentials secure and for everything done through it.
You agree not to:
- circumvent rate limits, whether by multiple accounts, automation, or otherwise;
- systematically extract, scrape, or bulk-copy our results in order to reconstruct our corpus or build a competing dataset;
- resell or redistribute results except as permitted by an API or agency plan;
- use the service to harass, defame, or manipulate any person or market.
What a score is, and is not
Every figure we produce is a retrospective measurement of a post that already exists. It describes what was observable afterwards. It is not a prediction, a rating of a person, or an assessment of anyone's honesty or competence.
We have measured that performance does not persist between a given account's calls, and we therefore make no claim, express or implied, that a past score indicates anything about a future post. Any use of our output as a forecast is yours alone.
Measurements depend on third-party data that may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. We withhold figures we cannot compute rather than estimating them, but we do not warrant that any figure is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
Not financial advice
Nothing on this service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. We are not authorised to give financial advice and do not do so.
Digital assets are volatile and you can lose everything you put into them. Any decision you make is your own, taken on your own assessment and at your own risk.
Third parties named in results
Results may reference public accounts and their public posts. Those references are factual descriptions of public activity and are not statements about the character or conduct of any person.
Experimental or unvalidated signals are shown only to the person who ran the check, are labelled as experimental, and are always shown with the evidence behind them. They are not published, ranked, or shared.
If you believe a result about you is factually wrong — a mis-identified token, for instance — contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate and correct it where warranted.
Payment, periods and refunds
Paid plans are sold as prepaid periods. You pay once for a defined term. Nothing renews automatically, and no payment instrument is stored or charged again. We will remind you before a period ends.
Prices are quoted in USD and settled in digital assets at the rate shown at checkout. Access begins on confirmation of your payment. Network fees are yours. Taxes are your responsibility where applicable.
You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not used paid features, returned in the asset you paid with, less network fees. After that period, or after material use, purchases are final.
When a period ends you revert to the free tier. Results already in your account remain readable and exportable.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service depends in part on third-party sources that may change or become unavailable without notice, and features may be degraded or withdrawn as a result.
Where part of an analysis cannot be completed, we return what we could measure and name what we could not, rather than substituting an estimate.
Intellectual property
The service, its methodology, its corpus, and everything on this site are ours or our licensors'. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and to use your own results for your own internal or professional purposes.
You may quote or publish individual results you have generated, provided you attribute them to OpenKol and do not alter the figures. You may not publish our aggregates, distributions, or corpus-derived comparisons except under an API or agency plan.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and we exclude all implied warranties.
We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, particularly the fair-use restrictions in clause 2. Where a closure is not the result of a breach, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.
You may stop using the service, and request deletion of your account, at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified to account holders by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], and the courts of [Jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. The service is operated by [Legal entity name].
